About RuralLandListings
RuralLandListings is an online marketplace for rural land: farms, ranches, timberland, hunting properties and acreage, listed by owners and land professionals.
What we are, and what we are not
RuralLandListings is a marketplace, not a real estate brokerage. We do not act as the buyer’s or seller’s real estate agent. We do not negotiate, hold deposits, handle closings or take a commission. Buyers and sellers deal with each other directly.
How we make money
Sellers pay $49 for 30 days per land listing. Land agents can pay for a Verified profile. Buyers pay nothing. Nobody can pay to change what a listing says or to rank higher than other land listings, which are shown newest first by default.
Land listings
Each listing is written by the seller and reviewed by us before it goes live. Acreage, price and features are what the seller tells us; we do not inspect land or check title, boundaries, access, zoning, utilities, flood status, mineral rights or taxes. Buyers should independently verify property information and conduct appropriate due diligence before purchasing.
Land agent profiles
Profiles come from public sources (the agent’s own website and public pages) or from the agent. Every profile shows its source and when it was last updated. We do not publish ratings or reviews.
Basic listings are free. Their details come from public sources (the land agent’s own website and social pages) or from a submission, and each shows the date it was last updated. Nobody at the land agent has confirmed a Basic listing with us.
Verified listings are paid. Before we label a listing Verified, we check the real estate license with the state real estate commission’s public license lookup, and confirm the details with the owner. Verified listings are shown first, with a one-line note saying so wherever that happens. The label lapses back to Basic if it is not renewed.
